Turn off the heat when coffee rises to 70-80% of the metal tube's height; avoid waiting for the "purring" sound.
Place the pot on a towel soaked in cold water for 30 seconds after turning off the heat to prevent over-extraction of caffeine.
Heat milk/mineral water separately and pour it into the coffee cup.
When using gas, ensure the fire power doesn't exceed the pot's bottom diameter to prevent handle damage.
Cover the lid during cooking to prevent splashing.
Rinse the moka pot before first use to remove aluminum scraps and lubricating oil.
